Sports Injury Recovery in Stratford upon Avon
Important: The therapies offered at Revive Restore Repair are complementary — they are not a substitute for medical diagnosis or physiotherapy. This page describes how our therapies can support faster recovery from sports injuries alongside your physio or consultant. Always consult your medical professional before beginning any new therapy.
Your Journey Back to Training
You know the frustration. An injury that was supposed to take six weeks is dragging into three months. The swelling that won’t fully resolve, the stiffness that returns every morning, the nagging doubt about whether it’s truly healed. Whether it’s a torn ligament, muscle strain, post-surgical recovery, or the cumulative damage of years of training — your body needs more than just rest.
At Revive Restore Repair, we offer a range of sports recovery therapies used by elite athletes and professional sports teams — now accessible to everyone, from weekend runners to competitive club athletes. We work alongside your physio and rehab team, not instead of them.
Therapies for Sports Injury Recovery
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) delivers 100% oxygen at 1.5–3.0 atmospheres of pressure, saturating tissues with up to 15 times the oxygen available at sea level. This HBOT treatment accelerates healing at a cellular level — stimulating angiogenesis, reducing oedema, and supporting repair of ligament, tendon, muscle, and bone injuries. It is used as standard recovery protocol by Premier League clubs, Olympic programmes, and elite cycling teams worldwide.
Red Light Therapy — clinically known as photobiomodulation — uses specific wavelengths (typically 630–850nm) to penetrate soft tissue, stimulate mitochondrial energy production, and reduce pro-inflammatory cytokines. For sports injuries, this makes it particularly effective for accelerating muscle recovery, managing acute and chronic pain, and supporting tissue repair after strains, sprains, and post-surgical healing. Sessions are non-invasive, painless, and typically last around 15 minutes.
Full body Cryotherapy — delivered in a dedicated cryo chamber at temperatures as low as -135°C — triggers a powerful anti-inflammatory response and stimulates endorphin release. Professional athletes have used whole-body cryotherapy for decades as one of the most effective tools for reducing recovery time between training sessions, managing acute injury inflammation, and supporting overall physical resilience.
Working Alongside Your Physio
We ask all sports injury clients to share details of their injury, any diagnosis or imaging results, and their current physio or rehab programme. This isn’t a formality — it’s how we ensure your programme complements your existing recovery plan and doesn’t interfere with the healing timeline.
If you’re unsure whether our therapies are right for your injury stage, book a free consultation. We’ll be honest about what we can and can’t offer, and we’ll never push a programme that isn’t appropriate for where you are in recovery.

A quiet space to recover properly
Most sports recovery happens in busy gyms or rushed physio clinics. Our facility in the Warwickshire countryside gives you access to the same technology used by elite athletes — in a private, unhurried setting. Come and see the space, talk through your injury, and we’ll give you an honest view of how we can accelerate your recovery. Your first consultation is free.

“I tore my ACL playing rugby and was facing months of recovery. After adding HBOT and Cryo to my rehab programme, my consultant said I was healing weeks ahead of schedule. I was back in training before the end of the season.

Multi-machine multi-boost
By combining HBOT, full body cryotherapy, and red light therapy into a single concentrated recovery programme, we can address the most common challenges athletes face — inflammation, tissue damage, pain, reduced mobility, and delayed healing — through a protocol tailored precisely to your injury type and recovery stage.
Sports Injury Recovery FAQs
Are your therapies safe during or after injury?
Our therapies accelerate the body’s natural healing processes — they don’t replace diagnosis, surgery, or physiotherapy. HBOT increases oxygen delivery to damaged tissue, Red Light Therapy reduces inflammation and stimulates cellular repair, and Cryotherapy manages swelling and pain. We work with athletes at all levels, from weekend runners to professionals. All clients undergo a consultation to ensure our programme is appropriate for your injury stage.
Can HBOT accelerate sports injury healing?
HBOT is well-evidenced for accelerating soft tissue and bone healing. By delivering oxygen at increased pressure, it promotes angiogenesis (new blood vessel formation), reduces oedema, and supports cellular repair. Professional football, rugby, and cycling teams use HBOT as standard recovery protocol. For ligament tears, fractures, and post-surgical recovery, it can significantly reduce healing timelines.
Is cryotherapy effective for sports recovery?
How many sessions will I need?
This depends on the injury type, severity, and your recovery goals. For acute injuries (sprains, strains, post-surgical), an intensive course of 10–20 sessions over 2–4 weeks can significantly accelerate healing. For ongoing athletic maintenance and injury prevention, 2–3 sessions per week is common. We design programmes around you, not a fixed package.
Do I need a referral from my physio?
No referral needed — just book a consultation. We do ask you to share any diagnosis, imaging results, or physio notes so we can design an appropriate programme. This is for your safety and to ensure we complement your existing rehab plan. We’re happy to provide written information about our therapies to share with your medical team.
